mixed technique on canvas

The artist moved on the canvas spreading the color on plastic bags.

Then she began to sow the canvas with earth, leaves. She begins to engrave with an oil pastel the phrases that have been said to her by her father and by those who abused or molested her, but also her own requests for love or reflections. Once this confession is finished, she embeds the plastic bags with putty and, finally, an eagle-shaped totem made of sea woods by a man who loved her.

The three plastic bags represent the men who raped her.

The ritual is a memory of reconnection with her gypsy great-grandmother, just as the totem has the shape of an eagle, an animal very dear to her.

The result is a private ritual of liberation.

Impetuous externalization that slowly becomes a reconciliation through symbols and materials that are part of her most cherished places.
